The ending to Oxygene 15 reminds me of the track Body Language/Crazy Saturday(?)/Metamorphoses.

FYI: the "Oxygene Trilogy" release of Oxygene 1-6 brings back the chirping birds at the end of "Oxygene pt 3", so I suppose this is the original mix, not the 2007 slightly reedited version of the album.

As soon as someone is sitting with the giant trilogy box, please post some Photos or description of the content.
As far as I can see, the box is supposed to contain three sleeves coloured purple, green and beige. One contains all three cds, one is supposed to contain the vinyls and one is supposed to contain the print/book/something?
However this image is often shown aswell, but all this cleaned up digital Photos, seem to confuse a bit.
Is this actually in it? Vinyls?:

I can't take a picture now, so let me try to describe it:
The beige one contains 3 CDs.
The lilac one is NOT a sleeve. It IS the book itself.
The green one contains the vinyls and in addition it also contains three thin sleeves that look exactly like in the picture you posted.
There's also a 60x60cm poster of the new "sideways skull".
Hope it's clear now?

"Reedited version" He he. That's a good description. Re-recording my ass

There's no doubt some newly recorded stuff when you listen to it side by side, but yeah it was mostly just a reworking of the original if anything. Bit of a shame that that version wasn't included just for completion sake.

Recorded? No. Edited? Yes.
Anyway, here's a picture of the "Oxygene 2" sleeve:
Also, I know s**t about vinyls (I don't even have gear to play them), but is mine damaged, and if so, to what extent? Will it play fine and just look bad? It looks like a discoloration...

A speck of black vinyl ended up when being pressed, no worries it's perfectly fine!
Edit: It seems to just be paper instead of cardboard. Seems rather flimsy on which the artwork is pressed...

Just had a first listen through. I agree with what a few others have said in that it's going to take a good few more play throughs to really get my head round it but my first impression is really positive!
Oxygene Pt 20 is quite possibly one of the best tracks Jean-Michel Jarre has ever written in my opinion, it is an unmatched masterpiece.

Just as a side note (and I'm probably nit picking here!) but it's weird that the vinyls from the Ultimate Boxset drop the hyphen out of Jean-Michel but the CDs have it present and correct!! I think the normal release vinyl has a different centre label as well doesn't it?

...yet the included vinyl sleeves retain the hyphen! The no-hyphen "Jean Michel" is likely a mistake.

Um, since you used the "wink" emoticon, let me just double-check - is it fine or not? There are also brownish stripes if you look closely.
Perhaps I should try to exchange it, be it purely for aesthetical reasons? It did cost a lot of money after all?

Yeah it seems (seems, without listening to it I can't be sure of course) just fine. It like I said, probably a speck of black vinyl got mixed in with the transparent vinyl. So basically
this but done by accident.

Amazon has dispatched my order so hopefully the trilogy vinyl box arrives at the end of next week.
I would prefer black vinyl but I hope the transparent look has got a better sound to it today then what is use to have a couple of years ago.

From what I gather coloured vinyl when new should (if it does is another subject

) sound about the same, it's just when you start actually using them they'll start showing signs of wear and tear surprisingly quickly. Though this is more on old records rather than new.
What I wonder if they'll end up releasing all three albums on vinyl separately more than anything. Considering Oxygene 7-13 (I'll call it that until the day I so

) is relatively hard to get a hold of.
