Ok, I really miss him on the stage.
I Really don't like the new guys many soloes. They are much too loud, in an awfull simple tone og not very original :(

BTW
I noticed that there was 4 Eminent U310 on the stage, and none of them where used as I saw it.
The Mellotron was gone.
Two Synthex, and it looked like Francis played the Rendez-Vous 2 bass on it, the original was in the back but he played something on top of it.

Two Arp 2600, Only one of them where used.

It didn't looked/sounded like Jarre was playing anything on his main keyboard, only the Arp2600 in "Variations" making your pant legs flutter (crazy!) and those handheld keyboards.
...ahh yes one thing, he played the first solo in Rendez-Vous 2, it sounded clumsy and very wrong, the later parts where perfect down to the smallest pitch and modulation, wonder why ;)

I love the mans music, but I still don't get, why he can't play the lines every fan can play in his/her sleep.

Francis was hilarious tonight in Koln.

Yesterday in Dortmund it took a long time for Jean Michel to come back to stage in the small break.
So today Francis had a tablet with a running text "he will be back !!! Hope ........"

Just like yesterday Jean Michel went crazy with superb audience, thank you Germany!!!

However, my tour is nearing it's end now.
Huh? He hasn't even visited North or South America. How is that a world tour... :|

He may refer to 2011 tour, so another one would begin later.

Or not.

My understanding is that he intends to visit outside of Europe, but not as part of this current tour. He wants to get this album finished and released. Then it sounds like he may pick the tour up again in a new form as a follow-on leg of this one and include North and South America, Australia, Asia as part of that tour.
He does mention surprises for his fans, so he may be referring to doing one-off concerts in those places.
There is also the possibility that his idea of "nearing it's end" is along the same lines as his idea of "soon" - anytime in the next few years, but probably not this year.

Ok, let's hope you're right, but the way I see it - Europe is his favourite place to give concerts :)

Seems it proves we all have been naive taking expression world tour seriously. As I remember correctly, Finaero said his concern about a year ago saying so bringing this type of tour to US is very questionable. He's got right.
