JmJ lost faith in himself various reasons : personal loss, separation.
There's so much we don't know : JmJ as some others Im pretty sure suffered depression self harming thoughts.
However he keeps these to himself.

All these musicians Electronica high esteem for JmJ made JmJ realise his self belief.

Also 50-70 years the fountain tends to run dry.
Creative juices nowhere near our teens 20s 30s.
We here on this forum are mostly in our 20s 30s some 40s :
we are yet to experience our fountain running dry.

Therefore every creative person here work like crazy to create as many creative things as we can
before our fountain runs dry
and things happen in our life.

Equinoxe Infinity

# Gorgeous passages of composition all through.

Movement 9 Don't Look Back one of the most sublime electronic music.

# There is epicness there is sensitivity there is thoughtfulness.
There is narrative there is story telling.
There is fun humour.

# There is brilliant synthesis all through layer upon layer
weaving Analogue CS80, Modular Roland 500, Eurorack Erica synths
with Digital Teenage Engineering OP1, Nord Modular
Virtual Animoog app, NI Reaktor.

Revealing something every time we listen.

Pretty formidable various synthesis elements layering blending weaving in and out of each other.

JmJ does this layering weaving blending beyond any other synthesists around.
Only Isao Tomita (early 1970s) matched this.

# Shoutout to Stephane Gervais assisting JmJ in sound design.
JmJ mentions Stephane in sleeve notes : To Stephane for his precious collaboration.

I hope this isn't completely out of topic.

Since there isn't a thread dedicated to the Metapop remix contest I thought to post the link to my own reinterpretation of Movement 6 here:

You can always create one in the "covers/remixes" section.

Win one of three signed "Equinoxe Infinity” vinyls by Jean-Michel Jarre

In the WIRED interview, the electro-pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre said that he would like to work with Artificial Intelligence. He also assumes that robots can cry at some point. But what he left us for our competition is quite analogous: three autographed vinyl records from his recently released album Equinoxe Infinity!

Qoulisses with Jean-Michel Jarre!

In December 1978, released his second album "Equinoxe", sold to nearly 10 million copies. Today, 40 years later, the pioneer of electronic music in France, released a new album "Equinoxe Infinity". A continuity, following a story that he came to explain on the set of Daily. On this occasion, we went to ask him some questions in his dressing room. It's Jean-Michel Jarre for Qoulisses!

Jean-Michel Jarre talks creativity, tech and music’s AI future

November 28, 2018

Jarre’s next album will see him experiment more with VR, but he is not so keen on 3D. “I hate 3D with glasses,” he says. “I am ready to pay more to watch a movie in 2D if I can […] VR Is great and you can actually visualise and make visual how the music travels through space. That is something very interesting, particularly for electronic music.”
