Yep, hopefully. Also, to calm the nerves and the shakie hands. I am a bit worried cause I am too close to the stage. Anyway, hope I will get through this.

Spoilers/teasers and anything relating to that first concert.... yeah, we'll all have fought hard with ourselves over fighting the urge to look but we'll all lose... we'll be seeking out blogs, pictures, videos - you name it.. we're weak when it comes to 'not wanting to know' - we DO want to know!!! Granted, some are stronger than others in that respect and will probably last out an extra few days or so but not much more than that.

The only way anyone is truly going to avoid spoilers/teasers and anything else after that first concert is to switch off the internet and leave the mobile phone switched off and possibly move to a remote island in the sun where internet/mobile phones are still pretty much unheard of...

There's no denying the fact that we'll disguise our need under the heading of 'curiosity'

and of course, little tormenting teasers courtesy of the FRimBlog...

Not forgetting of course, when we've been to whichever concert it is we're going to, we'll just be helping to proliferate teasers for those who won't be seeing the concert until much later in the year.. (and in some cases, next year)



You can bet your a$$ that after that first concert, we'll all be looking for stuff relating to it..........

I think I might have to be locked in a room to do this with no available access, from 4 May PM and to be released for obvious reasons on 22 May PM. But it will be impossible, as at work I am surrounded by computers.

Whats with all this talk of leaving the forums so not to 1/ read any spoilers and 2/ not to see any images/recordings?. Afterall, isn't going to the actual concert the whole point. Just being there, soaking up the atmoshere, the feel of the show, those "live" sounds in your ears, the feel of the bass on your face, being amoungst all those people, the live concert vibe . . . . . all those feelings are nothing when compared to a low key audio recording, video and photograph (now matter how good they will be). Your eyes and mind portrays the "true" sound and vision. I cannot see how a photo/audio recording/spoiler can possibly spoil your personal viewing pleasure when there. I can garantee, you can see as many images/recordings you like, they will never be the same as being there

I wouldn't mind watching some images, it's just the tracklist I'd like to get as a surprise.

I think the thing is, knowing the tracklist shouldn't *really* affect anything.. I mean.. seeing the tracklist and being there _hearing_ it are two totally different things... we know from hints dropped on the FRimBlog what there will be, but as we havent seen/heard anything from rehearsals, we have very very little to go off...
Jon is right of course, low quality audio/video and pics are nothing to *being there yourself*, however, some people don't even want the lo-fi version of 'whats to come' so that the whole experience (I'd rather call it that) remains as virgin as possible...

I personally am of a different breed... my need to know will only further heighten 'the experience' and of course, on the day itself, being with some good people will only further serve to heighten that.

With the first concert just days away, I'll guess right now that those attending that first concert are as excited as JMJ and co are right now..... I'll even go as far as saying that if things have been going well, JMJ will be probably walking on clouds right now

This time next week, we'll have a vague idea of what to expect and I'm looking forward to it in more ways than one
My only issue will be containing my excitement from my other-half who doesn't want to know.. but I know a couple of blurred, hastily taken pics will probably be looked at and he'll cave in and become as bad as I am right now

I don't agree. To me it's different when the tracklists is unknown. According to Francis' blog, we only know two tracks, and I can live with that. I remember watching the concert videos a few years ago. Everything came more or less as a surprise to me, which made it far more unique. The Oxygene Tour was some of the most interesting I have ever experienced, still I was sitting there "and now this track begins". It's a whole other situation when it's completely new to you. I remember watching the concert videos some years ago, when I really started discovering Jarre. Just the fact that I didn't know which track would come next, made it so much more exciting.
Being at the show is something special... more special than so much else. Still to me it adds something unique when you don't know exactly what you are about to see and hear.
We are different, and there are no standards regarding how we individually want to experience things.
