I was being sarcastic with the "Jarre quote"....it wasn't a real quote by JMJ, just a bad joke :D

Right, so according to you whom knows french here I'll take it as 'there will not be any more new material coming from Jean Michel Jarre until maybe 2015 or 2017 + with his delays in mind: around 2020'? If he wants fans this is not the way to do it. If he (in some childish kind of way) is trying to make new friends he shouldn't have to tour all over the planet playing the same old tracks over and over...there are much more simple ways of doing that nowadays. :? I've been a fan since the Houston concert was broadcasted on TV sometimes in later half 1980's and I've had JMJ's music close to my heart since the first time I heard Oxygene part 2 in 1984. If this is a strange way for him to say "good bye" and "see yoo zoon" then fine by me. I've got other things to do in my life then hanging around JMJ forums or blogs.
Now I'm gone too...at least until I see something new coming from the good old Mr Jean Michel Jarre.

Interesting remarks, Elf, I couldn't agree more. Some additions to your post:
Elf wrote:Speaking of which: Dr. Jones said it wasn't really a Jarre album. What does this mean? That it was just full of patterns and presets, or that it was composed by one of those Jarre credits for "musical collaboration?"
Yes, mainly because it's more a Tim Hufken album than a JMJ album. It's a good album as such, but not a Jarre album.
Elf wrote:In the 00s he released 4 new albums, a bunch of live dvds, an Itunes only album (Bourges), a 5.1 sourround album, a re-recording (which I refuse to believe was an actual re-recording) and he's toured extensively over most of Europe. If this had happened in the 80s or 90s, we would have been overjoyed.
Exactly. I made the same remark (in other words :-P) in an other thread. JMJs musical output was a lot bigger in the 00s than in the 90s. There was also the ViZitors, Interior Music, soundtracks and almost an album worth of unreleased live tracks (The Sun, anyone?)

I give credit for Elf's points, and I'm really concerned by the Fan base size.

There are more Jarre blogs than ever, individual acts, brilliant covers on the Tube but most of the official JMJ sites are completely washed out, therefore Jarre's interaction with the fans is close to zero.

If Jarre did something as exciting as the trailers of the OLIYLR DVD from time to time, I'm sure we wouldn't mind for waiting several months for new material and most of the criticism/pessimistic feeling would calm down.

Jarre did take something serious matter with the Jarre.com (where the money is), but doesn't care the damn for his own website. Shame !

I posted Kanta's video which contains Music for Supermarkets. People wake up: it contains A PART OF MUSIC FOR SUPERMARKETS! So a good fan would have asked already: how good was the sound quality of this recording? Better than the AM broadcast we have already? If yes, that means there's a good recording still floating around.
it was from the broadcast
