Yes, it's true. He looks as though he's six years old. Pathetic.

...and we have Germany on the third place...
Well, they deserved it - respect for Schweinsteiger and Kahn.
I'm a bit unhappy as...I like Portugese team more than German (it has nothing to do with my attitude to these nationalities, I don't cathegorize people like that, just Portugese footballers are IMHO nicer) but also I can't understand why Louis Figo wasn't allowed to play during the whole match...aaand...am I the only one who has impression that the arbiter was a bit unfair during the first period of the game

That happened because he was very tired, and it was important to end his career on the field, so, the solution was to let him play the last minutes, and he did it at his best, making 80% of our goal.

I promised myself I would let that critics for non-portuguese... so thank you very much indeed.

I wonder if JMJ's at the final?

I wonder what happened between Zidane and Matarazzi...
That's not the final I expected...and that's not the end of Zizou's career as it could be....
I'm really sad about how it all finished, it was great match until mentioned situation. France was IMHO better if taking whole match - Zidane, awesome Henry, Ribery...the end could be totally different if it didn't go as it did - maybe no penalties and some spectacular goal during last minutes...?
But I don't really care about the score - Itally isn't bad team and they showed much during Mundial, just it's not the atmosphere I wanted the final to end in.

I didn't really care but you will always be on one side and i chose France so ofcourse it was a shame they didn't win.
Zidane derserved the red card but it looks like the other dude said something to provoke Zidane, but that can't be judged from a soundless screen.
If I was neutral I would still say that France deserved the gold as they looked to do it best and that ending change the situation considering the odds said Buffon is a better goalkeeper.

I heard speculations that it could have been some racist dig...but we can only speculate now.
I'm waiting for some explanations about what really happened between them.
I can't believe that Zidane did it without a reason - although he shouldn't have behaved like that. Maybe it was a "matter of honour" or something...

Just what I was thinking, and maybe the french footballfans will keep it as the fact so he won't be blamed for what he did.

Even in that case, the best answer is silence.

Fortunately Italy won. The French penalty kick goal wasn't justified as the player was only acting. Zidane deserved the red card. No matter what happened, what he did can't be justified. To end his career like that... what an old fool!
... perhaps that was what he was been told... old fool.
