Correct, I know Lina well (as a fan) since Beijing and Gdanks. I just didn't know she was a singer :wink: .

I didn't know either, until she participated in the audition for Francis' album.. :) She seems to be very good as well...

Bonne nouvelle pour les fans marocains du roi de la musique électro-acoustique dans le monde, Jean-Michel Jarre. Il est à quelques jours seulement de donner un grand concert en plein désert à Merzouga. Le meilleur cadre qu’il peut y avoir pour ce genre de musique. Un ciel dégagé, des étoiles visibles et lumineuses et un public loin du stress de la vie urbaine.
Ambassadeur de bonne volonté de l’Unesco, JMC entend par ce spectacle valoriser cette zone désertique, en cette année considérée par l’Assemblée générale des Nations unies, Année internationale des Déserts et de lutte contre la désertification.
L’on parle, peut-être, moins de lui par rapport à d’autres, mais, il passe toujours pour l’un des artistes qui ont la capacité de rassembler des centaines de milliers et parfois même quelques millions. Qui pourrait oublier ses concerts à Hong-Kong, Londres ou encore à Moscou où il a eu en face trois millions de personnes en 1997. Un véritable et incommensurable record.
Pour que le concert-événement de Merzouga soit à la hauteur du grand public, plusieurs équipes sont déjà à pied-d’œuvre. Les travaux concernent notamment la gigantesque scène principale. Elle a été érigée en pleines dunes. Le public aura à suivre ce concert à même le sable. Un immense plaisir.
Considérant les concerts “rock” de classiques, Jean-Michel préfère les spectacles en plein air d’abord, conjugués à leur gratuité, cela garantit l’afflux massif qui lui rappelle les fêtes ires qu’il aimait depuis son enfance. Par là il cherche sûrement le cadre idoine pour sons, lumières, projections géantes.
Il est vrai que nombre de ses détracteurs estiment que sa musique n’est que le reflet d’une personnalité non équilibrée et qu’il ne s’agit que de mélanges de mégalomanie et de coup médiatique, cela n’empêche pas ses fans de revenir en centaines de milliers pour ses concerts. Selon des observateurs, ses spectacles dévoilent une partie de l'aventure humaine.

I met Lina in 2005 in Copenhagen and in Gdansk. She has got to know JMJ quite a bit well... But I don't thinkt she's much abous forums...

Thanks for the info ZZERO and everyone. Sorry didn't mean to start a "Who is Lina thread?" You'd think she made an album and called it Oxygene or something... :lol:

Back ontopic: So does anybody think they will release a DVD of this concert especially after just having released Gdansk and China without a new album, apart from Aero? (I mean official DVD). I'm sure we'll get some DVD copies from the HD broadcast...)

I can imagine that they will release a DVD og this concert, since the talk about releasing the already made VHS recordings as DVDs. There are videos of most of his concerts. Why concerts such as Akropolis and Aero were never released is mysterious to me.

Yes, I think there will be a DVD. But like every other Jarre DVD it will be released at least 4 months after the concert. And then the new album has to be released yet.
