I use Magix. The files from qobus are available in:
WMA 1.079 Gb
ALAC 1.047 Gb
FLAC 1.047 Gb

The 4 channel surround is a feature of the software. You have a choice of using fancy surround effects to DVD-Video format or 4 channel surround to a DVD-Audio format disc.
Personally, I tried a few formats, and settled on a DVD-Audio disc with no surround effects, and a DVD-Video disc with a minimal surround track.
Edit:
I found out that Magix won't allow a 2 channel stereo mix, it just downmixes from 4 channel, mutes the surround channels, and downscales to 44.1 kHz
