What's so special about the banner? It doesn't actually bring forth any new information or anything else

Of course, it is special and a banner does not necessary mean new info. A banner is suppose to be a symbol of what is represented. In this case, Oxygene 3D.

there could be 360 degrees in terms of angles, and even fractions of that, so **ANY** "new" picture could be new

I have a lot of illusion in this release.
Because it seems to me like to listen to the OXYGENE for the first time. To listen to a new mix, a new performance of it (arranged, for sure), and a new sound... will be very excitant, above all the first times listening to it.
Beyond, the music will be really the same, so, i hope that Jarre will be working now in something really new in the ways opened by this new perspective of the OXYGENE.
