So a sequal to Zoolook or not really a sequal as JMJ is not actually putting any of his tracks on the album?

How confusing. It is an album compiled by Jarre of tracks that people submitted? In the style of Zoolook?

This is the topic for the Zoolook Revisited Album: http://www.zoolook.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6321 .

“tracks received by 31 August will be considered. The most original contribution will be chosen to accompany the final credits in the TV documentary.”

The following is the track specially composed and produced for the "Zoolook revisited" album contest by using several free samples available on the Soundhunters website and some original samples created by me:

Thanks a lot for listening and for your kind comment.
I've tried to build the entire track by using almost exclusively samples taken from the Soundhunters website and other original sounds I've created with my own fingers and mouth for the rhythmic pattern. Then I've added a minimalist and obsessive leading theme to give it a more organic musical structure (when I listened to the final result I've recognized some involuntary references to the moods of "Eros Machine" and "Woollomooloo").

Good work Alessandro! :)

Funny to me it reminded a bit of Orb's music but that's not very strange as they also use lots of samples cooked together. As you say there are some clear wooloomooloo feeling to it.

Thanks for your alluring comparison.
I would say there could be also links to "My Life in the Bush of Ghosts" by Eno and Byrne, mainly for the samples of tribal indigenous languages (that I found very ductile to manipulate and modify with reverb and slap-back echo effects).
