And it happened! I just got my copy from my local recordstore. A 4 CD digipack. First impressions: CD 1 is indeed Radiophonie 9. The rest: more of the same :-D

From Hexagone 112 onwards, things start to be different. Some moodier stuff, some up-tempo stuff which sound the same as the stuff we've already heard, but it's different.

You were right about the duplicated Hexagone 122 in "111, 122, 133, 120-125" - the actual numbering is "111, 112, 113, 120-125"

CD2 is quite interesting so far.

OK, is it just me or are tracks Hexagone 300-327 (CD2) in MONO?! Dafuq?

Maybe this is the production error that delayed the release but they were supposed to fix it?!

I noticed that Hexagone 323 and 324 are called Hexagone 323 (New) and Hexagone 324 (New) in the CD text data.

Probably an unrelated error that they fixed.

I fail to understand how one can not notice that â…“ of the CD is mono. WTF, srsly.

Or maybe Dadwater went "surely my super-quality mixing and mastering will sound even better than ever before in mono!"

Mine also have all the Hexagones in the 300 range in mono. Odd. Could it be that they were made for Franceinfo radio or something? I don't know.

There's no reason they should be in mono. It's a definite production error. I begin to think that maybe FNAC got the faulty batch after all. Maybe amazon.co.uk will get the proper one...

By the way:
- Hexagone 3xx seems to be new stuff
- Hexagone 5xx seems to be new stuff (and it's not very good compared to 1-99, likely done after Stéphane Gervais left)
- Heaxgone 6xx is basically a remix of 1-99

Hexagone 557 - four and a half minutes of random arp triggering a string patch from an orchestral library aka "you're not even trying"
