Just read briefly some of the comments here. Some are nice and some, not nice. Albert was dancing and if he was yawning he may have been very tired. There is also the heat to consider. There was no false clapping, the crowd was loud where I was, me included. I loved the concert. My first outdoor concert and it was perfect! Jean Michel worked very hard for this concert. Some people here have no idea. He spent hours getting it perfect.

I enjoyed meeting so many fans in Monaco. Thank you all for saying hi to me.

I have photos and videos and will slowly share to those who have appreciated what he has complished. To the rest, well .........

Check the Radio-Broadcast or the TV-Broadcast, and you will understand a 100% what we meen

The false clapping was nothing but hilarious imho.

back from Monaco and it was really a great show! I really would rate it his best concert in years! And be sure, I have been very critical to some things he did in the past.
I really can't understand some people here. Always complaining. If he doesn't play live, they say: "Oh, he's miming!". If he plays live, they say: "Oh, it´s not perfect, he should rather do playback!" Never to be satisfied. Telling that the Monaco concert was crap without having been there is simply cheeky. You can't judge from an online broadcast, you have to be there.
I was there and it was simply great! It really, really brought back the real Jarre concert feeling: the gathering audience at dawn, first lights on the stage, ambient music... Btw: Waiting For Cousteau kicked in only 10 Minutes before the concert started. Before there was a strange kind of ambient music played, sometimes sounding like Cousteau, sometimes like Vangelis, sometimes accoustic, sometimes ambient-electro...
The towers reminded very much of Europe In Concert. After many years a Countdown again and then... Chronologie 1! The perfect concert opener! The string sound missed some Reverb and of course it was too short, but hey...
Chronologie 4 is also back. I liked the new version of Industrial Revolution 3, but I think he should not play single parts of it. To me Industrial Revolution belongs together, including the Overture... I was standing far away at the promenade, so I didn't even realise that he was climbing on the tower.
I never liked Teo&Tea, but I always said that Vintage is the best composition on it, although the sounds are cheap. But I was really surprised, how well it worked live and it rocked the audience. And I don't care at all, if he played live this time or not...
The skytrackers were placed on 16 hoisting platforms around the harbour and they lit up the sky! Some of the spotlights from the towers lit up the buildings around in various colours. The circular lights on top of the towers looked like the eyes of the Equinoxe men...
And then the fireworks... tons and tons of it! That was really impressive. The "official wedding fireworks" the following night couldn't really compete with it.
Although it was an exhausting weekend, I'm really very glad that I witnessed this concert. It was amazing - fullstop.

That Vangelis-ish part was the start of Christophe's La Dolce Vita, written by Jarre/Christophe.

".VOB" -files of Euronews entire on-line stream of the concert.

It's done with WM Recorder and converter with PAL standard.
I'm just a noob with this, the picture is not very good but the sound is actually ok.
Burned it with NERO Vision to a couple of DVD's and choosed widescreen and 5.1 sound.

Ah, thanks for the info. I think I have this song somewhere on vinyl.
Seems Jarre did an interesting new ambient mix. But to introduce a concert one needs Waiting For Cousteau"...

Actually wasn't some of the ambient music being played before the show from Interior Music? (B&O project).

I've done my fair share of Jarre knocking, Aero Denmark was a good concert, even the music too. Shame he ruined it for the AERO album and concerts thereafter, Gdansk was so-so, China was bloody awful - even jarre looked bored. The concert in the desert had echoes of EiC, but was the music was the same, boring.

Oxygene tour mk2 was a breath of fresh, well, oxygen really, very refreshing.

Indoors tour mk1 was a missed opportunity to play a bucket full of JMJ classics with JMJ's trade mark light show.

Indoors tour mk2, couldn't be bothered with. Should have done this during mk1 tour.

Then Monaco. I wish I was there! Brilliant stage show, Jarre of old.

I wish though he didn't play oxy5 with variation , I bet the audience reactions where "what the heck is this?" May be should have played more upbeat tracks, mag4 or orient express even.

Don't get me wrong, Monaco was awesome!!

No, interior music is different. It resembles it though.

So there you have it - as it happened - real live sound and all* .. case closed
