Jean-Michel Jarre sells out tickets for his appointment at Icónica Santalucía Sevilla Fest
The iconic musician and visionary Jean-Michel Jarre is ready to dazzle Seville tomorrow, Tuesday, July 8, with the only concert he will offer in Spain during 2025.
Tickets for this long-awaited event at the Icónica Santalucía Sevilla Fest have been completely sold out, confirming the immense attractiveness of the French artist. This event marks his return to the Andalusian capital 32 years after his memorable performance in Lake Cartuja in 1993.
The importance of this concert goes beyond the local fervor, since the prestigious European cultural network Canal ARTE will record the show in full for its broadcast next September. Under the direction of David Montagne and the production of Catherine Alvaresse and Patrice Gellé, "Jean-Michel Jarre, Live in Seville" will be a 90-minute journey through the artist's sound universe, available soon on Arte.tv and the YouTube channel Arte Concert. This co-production, with the participation of TV5 Monde and the support of the CNC, will be distributed worldwide by Arte Distribution, which will allow millions of viewers throughout Europe to enjoy this unique event.
The Plaza de España in Seville will thus join the select list of UNESCO heritage and emblematic spaces that have served as the stage for the massive concerts of Jarre. Places such as the Acropolis of Athens, the Gallery of Mirrors of the Palace of Versailles, the Pyramids of Egypt, the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square in China, or the Eiffel Tower in Paris, have witnessed their legendary actions, reinforcing the international positioning of Iconic Santalucía Sevilla Fest and the city itself.
Jean-Michel Jarre, composer, performer, producer and cultural ambassador, has been a fundamental figure in electronic music, opening new paths through technological innovation. From his pioneering role in the genre to his most recent forays into virtual reality and the metaverse, Jarre has always been at the forefront. Recognized as Commander of the Legion of Honor and UNESCO Ambassador for Education, Science and Culture, he has also been awarded the Stephen Hawking Medal for his tireless defense of the planet. His extensive music catalog has 22 studio albums and more than 85 million copies sold worldwide.
Jarre is also world famous for setting Guinness attendance records, bringing together crowds of millions of people at his outdoor concerts. His recent innovative proposals include "Welcome To The Other Side", a live broadcast from a virtual Notre-Dame de Paris that attracted more than 75 million spectators, the "Versailles 400" concert and his participation in the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
With his arrival in Seville, Jean-Michel Jarre will not only offer an unforgettable show, but will also reaffirm his legacy as a global cultural influence, transmitting a creative, cultural and environmental message that has left an indelible mark on the musical scene.
