Just seen Casino Royale...
I need to see it again to make a fair judgement but right now I am thinking it is one of the best bond films ever. Up there with Dr No and From Russia With Love (both of which stuck to the books religiously).
Right now I'm thinking that they should remake the other 18 Bond films, this time keeping all of the Fleming bits in. This film is superb!
And at this early stage I'm finding Craig more impressive then Connery and the rest. Dalton tried to carve his Bond from the books but it just wasn't right. Craig seems to fit perfectly. Quality!
Go see it!

The Black Dahlia. 5/10
Brian de la Palma goes down in this movie. He usually has a fair amount of suspense, but in this one, there is no such thing at all! Boring, bad acting (Josh Hartnett, please) and way too long. Nice shots sometimes, some interesting characters getting killed halfway the script and no Scarlet boobies.
Why even bother watching this film? I don't know.

This great, creepy little film called: Little Otik by Jan Svankmajer (the amazing Czech Animator).

Interesting, people either hate it or love it.

I like the acting and the new 007 is good, looks like a younger Mike Oldfield (the face).
It's more the concept I hate. The music, the story, the lack of action and no Mr. Q.
Hell...it would not even be allowed to be called "Bond".

Actually Casino Royale is one of the first 007 stories. Officially, Dr. No is ithe first 007 movie from 1962, Casino Royale was from the 50's.

Yes, the movie follows the book pretty damn well.
I have to admit it seemed more like a real movie rather than a Bond movie, though
