What a cheesy song, nonetheless is catchy, specially on the Souvenir of China samples! :o

Hi all,

I just bought a Concerts in China CD from a shop here in Spain. It has an unusual cover, but it looks like the regular 1997 remaster release:

What is this release?

Hmmm... the word "conecerts" written on the left side led me to think it's a bootleg...

Well spotted! It looks very convincing. The CD looks perfect (complete with matrix number, I have to compare it when I'm home), the booklet too. I totally missed the conecerts text :)

Jakob BC wrote:How sure are you about Equinoxe 5? As I remember it was featured on the VHS, but recorded in a studio as some add-on to the video. Argh damn! I wished there were some more clear information about it.
Pat1982 wrote:On the VHS you can see the silent comedy "Broken China" (1926) with Bobby Vernon being played during Equinoxe 5.
But for at the end you can see Jarre playing his keyboard, it really looks like he is playing the same notes of the main melody.
Jakob BC wrote:Nah maybe you are right, I remember something different, but after watching it again, it doesn't look different from the other tracks, so I'll just take it back to "I don't know". You also see Perrier play the lead. I thought I had a better point, but after watching it again there is nothing.
I thought the case was closed, but then I saw this picture again today:

It would be strange for the audience when he would wear that gear during the concert, plus he would have to put it on/off on multiple occasions during the concert, this would ofcourse be impractical.
So.. what I now believe is that some footage (mainly the body-camera footage) was shot before or after the actual concert.

Update: I watched the concert quicky via youtube, and found only on MF2 footage of this body-camera:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DupepVClew#t=0h2m21s
first, he does not wear the device, and a few seconds later during the "hand-clapping" he is suddenly wearing the device.
It could be that the footage was actually from different concerts in Shanghai.

I'm going to ask something I asked 9 years ago.
However there is also an 1982 ATV (ITC) VHS, and a 1981 Japanese tv-broadcast (NHK Young Music Show).
Who's got these copies? I've never seen them being mentioned almost anywhere except this page https://drjones.home.xs4all.nl/discography.txt
