I've had a good listen to my CD now & I do really like it.
Most of the tracks are well done,like Chronologie 1 & the industrial revolution tracks,I love the version of Akropolis,Rendez-vous 2 was made for a symphonic arrangement & works very well.
Souvenir of China & Oxygene 13 also work vey well.
Chronologie 2 is ok,I agree with Leelene's boyfriend that it sounds better towards the end.
Now for some critisims,Magnetic Fields 5 reminds me of a group of Cowboys sitting round a camp fire with one playing a mouth organ!
Equinoxe 4,doesn't quite do it for me,the chorus lead lets it down & the ending sounds weak.
Oxygene 4 sounds just sounds plain silly,this should have been left out.
Rendez-vous 4,one of my favourite JMJ tracks is another silly track,it sounds way too 'poppy',this could have been really good if it was done in a tottaly different way.
Computer Weekend sounds very spanish,latin guitars,steel drums,very disappointed in this version.
Magnetic Fields 1,I think this is really good,my only critisism is that I don't like the synth sound.
To sum up,apart from my critisisms,I really enjoyed it & am listening to it now,Rendez-vous 2,I think if you are going to do something like this,then there are risks,but to be honest,I think they have done a good job,I wonder what JMJ & Francis Rimbert think?
