I like it...Overall great work

Just a few Pointers...

The Kick/Bass relationship is Muddy, you need to seperate those two and cut and shape the Eq to make them sit better

(The bass sequence is good, just the Kick's freq's don' sit well with it)

(And the lead sounds.would sound better if you used the Eminent Lead and pads)Just my Opinion... 8)

Nice overall Quite Haunting on Part 2 with the Eminent Pad

What synths did you use???

Hello Equinoxe,

Happy new year to you!
And many thanks for your review.

Well, I tried basically not to use the Eminent too much otherwise my remix would sound like the original track !

However, you're maybe right about the bass, now you say it, I think I should have muted the bassline on every 4/4 just to make the kick drum more audible. That's a good point, really !

The sounds I used were a combination of different hard and soft synths such as the yamaha Cs2x, Vangard, Superwave P8, Roland Jx305, z3ta+ as well as a few Vst FX applied in the global mix, which is why I also consider my Cakewalk sequencer as a music instrument.

A little trick I use to do is to convert all the midi tracks into WAV samples, so that eventually, I just work on audio tracks, actually, which I find more comfortable and effective :mryellow:

Cheers mate,

Hi mate,

Thanks for your review!!

The "laser harp" lead sound is actually a patch I chose from the Vangard Vst synth, which I modified the Attack

Wow! Very nice cover, all the way through. I also pretty much like that square in the last part.

Respect!

I like the 2nd and 3rd part the most. The first part is a bit garish IMHO, not that magic of the original. But overall, nice work!

Hmm... My brain must have burned down, when I wrote it. It was supposed to be in the "which song are you playing", sorry.
