Oxygène is a wonderful album. Gorgeous electronic music, clever composing and perfect sound mixtures, just-so effects. Absolutely brilliant. Each track stands the test of time, and moves gently from one to each other (especially part 1 to 2) to craft an atmosphere of mystery and poetry.
Can't listen to this disc by bites... Must go all the way through it.

 Personnal favorites are part 2 (one of Jarre's 2 or 3 best tunes ever) and part 6 for melody stun. Part 6 is definitively associated in my soul with a landscape in Wyoming, USA.

Definitive masterpiece of electronic music.
But to my opinion one step behind equinoxe.

But eeeeer, about Ox. Definately a masterpiece, but not my favorite album I think.

An eye (or ear) opener for me to the world of JMJ or the ultimate relaxation if you're into the "new age" meditation thing. One of the first albums wich made electronic music more "sensual" and also I would say this album and Equinoxe was important sources of inspiration for how the i.e. "new age" music genre sounds even today. An album that many times has been setting a certain standard when it comes to rate electronic music, fare or not, because it has touched so many people at the very bottom of their souls through out the years...me incl. :) It's simply so unique of it's own kind that it's jolly hard for me to even rate it...but I've been listening a bit more to Equinoxe I think. It just feels a bit more versatile bearing in mind of where you are when you listen...physically and in frame of mind. 8)
