Hi,

You can find that on his forum :

JMJ makes a show, he doesn't play live on stage. Why ? Stress I think !
My work at Le Caire was to produce all the tracks, for 5 hours of show. 23 tracks. For each, I was determining was it taken live by the drummer or the bassist or Francis. I decide which ethnical instruments will play on which title, I record an instrument, the other will be live. A huge work because I had to record a philarmonic orchestra, to synchro all because at Le Caire opera where I recorded everybody, there was a head-phone for 60 musicians, so nobody was playing on the kick !!!!!
I worked 4 months fully before the concert for all to be ready !!

And the night of the show, I was managing 60 tracks on stage and on ProTools. I was managing the time code, the Zero of the show (of my ProTools session, so) had to be exactly at midnight, because of the millenium change !!! that was the hell, I had made some jingles of random lenght which were allowing me to fit perfectly to midnight !!
I let you imagine the panic when the wind was rising and when persons were pushing the video screens in the sand needed 80 seconds to walk on stage (instead of 40 for the rehearsals !!!) There had around 20 details which bring forward all.....
A real nightmare this show for the Zero to be at midnight, I had a unbelievable chance, because my mac didn't crash for January, 1st 2000 and that, despite horrible conditions : the desert = 40° the day, -2° the night... Sand so little that it comes everywhere, in hard disks !!!!!!!

So, it's impossible for me to tell you all because that was gigantic !!!

Here you go ;)
Regards,
Nico

Yes, very nice this information! (merci nico d'avoir laissé ça en français  )

The more I learn about Garraud, the more I think he is very talentive ; he is not only a dj!
For example, I recently learned that it was him who made all the scenes between each tracks in Aero...

If I'm right, the soundscape made by SquareProd for the countdown of 12DOTS before midnight was made by him aswell ?
