Beast of Burden trouble, the daughter is always there...

Is it true that whenever there is a trouble among parents the daughter steps in and helps out? And if this is true, is it so that the rest of the world loves the daughter for being there to support parents and being the real good daughter. And the daughter feels good about herself, because she has got a mission to accomplish. But when this magic tie is broken between daughter and parents, there is a bigger judge from both the rest of the world, the parents and the daughter?

No one would blame a son for not doing things for a parent, wouldn't they? If you only had to take out the son/sons name in a sentence when you think about a problem and put in daughter/daughters name would you judge differnetly?

Is it true that a daughter that tries to hard can be the bad guy? Or have we came a long way from this and became equal to each other?

Shall I as a daughter stop owning up and just break free, feel good about my actions and that I did try good enough to be the good daughter. But my parents never saw me and now they have to pay the prize of never doing what I needed the most? I needed rules, bounderis and lots of praise on work I did good. But never got it.

Damn it, is the feeling of letting go, equal to the one of feeling empty?

In my case, sons can do no wrong but daughters are 99.9% in the wrong. All you can do is try and do your best for yourself and your parents, which you say that is what you are doing. Meet half way and if that is not good enough at least you have given it a chance. Families, you can't live with them and you can't live without them, especially parents. :P

The way I see it, sons and daughters are treated equally. If I do something bad, I'm tolled that I've done something bad and I will have to face the consequences of that action. The same goes for my sister. If I do something good I get a pad on the back. It's that simple. Ofcourse it depends on how you familly thinks about stuff like this. Not all parents think that the daughter is equal to the son.
