Recording the concert in Theatre Marigny

I'm planning on bringing my DAT-recorder to the concert. But not before I know that it's possible to smuggle it into the theater.

Can anyone, who will be going to the first concerts, confirm if they check for recorders at the entrance and in the theater itself? If so how thorough do they check?

Thanks.

When are you coming ?

As far as I have heard, it's not allowed right now to bring either cameras or recording units, but maybe AeroProd will give fans a good news !

I really hope I can record the concert of 15th Dec. with my camera !!

I'm going to record the 12th and 13th. And I'm 90% sure I will succeed.

I'll be going the 26th.

Of course they won't allow recordings of the concert. But it's not a problem as long as you don't get caught.

When was the last time you were frisked that intensively at a concert????Are they possibly gonna confiscate every persons Mobile Phone if they want to totally stop recording of the event! You can get Audio recording devices now that are not much bigger than a Mobile, and even smaller Cameras.

I've been to many concerts and not taken my Video recorder for fear of it being confiscated, only to get into the venue and every man and his dog have Video equipment recording the Gigs. Irrespective of there being warnings about illegal recording either Audiable or visually. In this day and age, just about everyone who has a video equipped Phone Films part of the Gigs of their Mobile.Never seen anyone kick them out or tell them to stop.

This is what you need Korg MR-1 1Bit Potable recorder 20 Gb H/drive, No bigger than your average Mobile Phone and discreet enough,if you were frisked you could blag them it was simply a Phone or an MP3 Player

Yeah, I expect you could take a small recorder into a gig if it's say the size of an average phone or mp3 player.

Slightly OT but I recorded the whole of a Bill Bailey gig on my phone. Fairly bad quality, but you can make just about everything out.

That's the one I have :smoke:
But becareful, the battery to allow you to record for 8 hours doesn't exist, this is the one with which you can record for 6 hours, and it costs 150€ !
Anyway, my father bought it :robertdugenou:

It's always better than nothing. If there will be any specials for the performances in Paris...
