Im just watching oxygene 3D first time i've noticed for some reason jmj is wearing a plain black bedge 
I thought it was to cover the adidas logo.

Yes, it's probably there to hide the logo on his jacket. At some angles, you can just make out a couple of letters in the logo.

He probably is not interested in a clothing contract with Adidas or doesn't want to pay them any royalties

It definitely is to cover the adidas logo. Notice that some of the brands of the synths have been covered also.
The backside of the PS-3300 synth says "Korg" with big letters. In another scene that is covered. The brands on the backside of the Memorymoog have also been covered. However you can still read "Moog Liberation" on the Liberation of course.

It's a lost cause, if he was trying to hide the logo. We are all pretty 99.9% sure it is Adidas.
