Toshiba Shows New Hi-Def Notebook

When coming up with the tagline for the Qosmio, "The World's Smallest Entertainer", Toshiba's copywriters obviously forgot about Gary Coleman. But everything else made it in to the latest in the line, the 17" The X-300. Toshiba has yet to release the full specs, but the X300 should share the same Harmon Kardon speakers, Dolby Surround, TV tuner and SpursEngine, Toshiba's custom chip for processing 3D and HD content as the rest of the line-up.
What we do know: Core 2 Duo Extreme chipset will be joined by dual hard drives and an Nvidia GDDR3 SLI graphics card. It's also red. "Fire Shark" red, with matching keep-you-awake-at-night LEDs dotted around the case.
The webcam is also hooked up to remote-control software, so you can wave your hands in the air to skip tracks and change volume. Combine this with the Oxygene themed Flash promo page and you have the World's first Jean Michel Jarre computer.
