the anniversary is today. :)

Looking back, it was a spectacular concert but relatively boring.

A while ago I watched the DVD once again and I must say it had something special on its own. If only there were fireworks...

My second JMJ concert on television (first one was Oxygene Moscow on the Performance Channel, a couple months before), I remember it quite vividly. I was keeping an eye on CCTV-9 Channel and the internet (can’t remember which website :? ), just in case they would show the concert live. I got fed up of the waiting so I decided to have some lunch as it was Sunday around about 13.00 GMT. After lunch, switched the television on, the live broadcast was on CCTV-9. I only missed the first couple of minutes. A very special concert for me cause I realised there and then how talented JMJ was. This is when I really became a hardcore fan.

Here are some :pics: to reminisce:

I always thought the concert could have been a lot more special if it hadn't been just an AERO showcase gig.

the concert is one of my favourites !

amazing one. much better than Gdansk or Merzouga. It is so emptional in some parts. And hymn to Acropolis is best performed there !

Everything was wonderfull but only I thought Francis and Clau should have stayed on stage in the end of the concert and not dissapear as it happened !

I was a fan for a short while when I was very young. But then I stopped. :| I suppose that might count. But these 4 years do feel longer. :punch:

That is Ok Kanta ... it is not how long you are a follower/ fan that counts, it is how dedicated you are .... :peacemaan: .... and you are VERY dedicated .... :P 8)

just for the record, I've been following , in my own quiet way , probably since Houston - definately since Docklands ... so that is over 20 years ... OMG, that is over half my life   ... time flies when you are having fun ... 8) :peacemaan:

@Kanta - 2004 was also around the time where I got more into the Jarre's music and where I found the Jarre.net site and forum. However the Aero concert was the event that catched my mind.
I still remember watching all the reports from other fans the days before and after the Beijing concert. Great times.
