I suppose it would be disrespectful to upload the videos that were removed by FDM on YouTube, now. :?

Well, I'm sorry but I'm gonna have to rock the boat on this one.

I have mixed feelings about this. For starters, yes, it is sad when anyone dies even if you didn't know them personally; but on this forum many people, including myself, didn't have a good word to say about Francis Dreyfus. Calling him names such as Dreypuss etc. Yet, now that he's passed away people are being all sorrowful; this is hypocritical don't you think. I'm not saying that I'm glad he's gone, I was always taught to respect the dead, but I'm not about to get all teary eyed either.

Sorry if this seems disrespectful but it's how I feel.

People were being hypocritical when they had something against Dreyfus to begin with. :punch:

It recalls the old saying: "Everybody loves you when you're dead". BTW I was non commital when it came to the FD / JMJ spat. I'm genuinely sad the man has died - he gave JMJ huge support for years.

I'm not denying that FD gave JMJ support when no one else would and for that we should all be grateful; but to suddenly start mourning someone that you (not you personally Pat) previously criticized is hypocritical. Over the years I've known a few people that I didn't like for one reason or another; when they died did I suddenly start mouring for them? of course not but I didn't wish them dead either. At the same time I certainly didn't start saying how sad it was.

I've said enough and will leave it here.

It's the never ending and sometimes foolish "hunt" on people to defense copyrights people are against, not Francis Dreyfus in person even if he became the natural official target for wounded feelings in times when there are little to no information at all on who did "this" and who did "that". :punch:

Okay, I am one of these persons who disliked FD. Only cause of removal of one of my own videos. I still don't forgive him especially as there are a lot of similar videos on YouTube that is like mine available to watch. I never said I love him now that he has passed away. But still would feel badly disliking him in death. This does not just apply to FD but I have the same feelings on a personal note. I respected FD for giving the opportunity and chance for JMJ becoming a musical artist. That I have never denied. So, I am 50/50. :fine:
