RendezVous 4

It was great that JMJ actually finished a Gig with Rendezvous 4. I think he should play this last all the time. BUT. Rendezvous 4 desperatly needs that chior at the end. He must the sound of a chior as a preset as it can be heard in Chronologie 2.

If it was made to sound similar to the Lyon version at the end (the best live version) with the guy on Jarres right playing the part of Kirk Wahlum. I think the current live version is good but the choir would do it justice. (indoor pyros would help). And JMJ could go mental like he does at the end of Chronologie 2.. Thank you. Bonsoir (Exit stage left)

Thought?

It looks like JM agrees with you, since he did it again in Antwerpen.
RV4 is an excellent way to end the concert, and go home with positive vibes.

I'd just love to here it with the choir at the end, and with all the effects and bass line turned up louder.

The complete track RendezVous 4 is crap... I hate this track since 1986. It sounds like a cheap children song...

I always thought it should be the new anthem for France. And seeing how well the audience repsonses to the song is amazing.

Nice to know: RV4 stayed in the French charts for more than 4 months:

It perfectly represents the cheesy synthpop style of the eighties, yes. :D
But it's also in the sounds used. RV98 sounds a lot better, imho

Do not forget that Rendez-vous was an album with only few new tracks, more than 50% of the album consists of recylcled songs he wrote earlier...some of them more than 10 years before the release of Rendez-vous...

Each to his own I suppose. For what it's worth I like the Docklands version featuring Hank Marvin.

True, true. Even the Rendez-Vous 4 theme was used by JMJ before 1986 :wink2:
