Soundbreaking - The Great Adventure of Recorded Music - 24/02/2017
Soundbreaking, a documentary series in six episodes, recounts the rich epic of recorded music, the first phonograph invented at the end of the 19th century, the dematerialization of the supports. Many stories from artists (Elton John, Catherine Ringer, Mark Knopfler, Jean-Michel Jarre, Nile Rodgers, George Martin) and personalities from the music industry nurture the story. The first episodes of Soundbreaking are to be discovered Friday 24 February 2017 at 21:30.

Soundbreaking: Arte's new documentary on the great pioneers of music
"The people who are today part of the legend of electronic music are in fact craftsmen like Stradivarius, " says Jean-Michel Jarre.
In association with Arte France, Trax presents a preview of an episode of the documentary series Soundbreaking. The great adventure of recorded music, which will be broadcast on the Franco-German channel on 10, 17 and 24 February at 22:25. Multitrack mixers, pickups, amplifiers and samplers... Artists are quick to take ownership of technical innovations and turn them into creative tools. This first episode, La Fée Électrique, traces a history of the hybridization between rock and electronic music from the first Gibson amp to the arrival of the EDM.
