I checked it this morning, and to my great surprise, there is a post from Mr J with a new track, enigmatically called ‘Chromatic’.
Nice it is too, very rhythmic, feels a bit like the garage improv he put on YouTube last week, but more polished.

Chromatic by Jean-Michel Jarre - New Track on Apple Music
It has been uploaded on YouTube by a fan and you can listen to it here:
Not sure if and when the video maybe removed due to copyrights.

But what, why how?
sounds fake.
It's removed from Apple Music.
The video is posted on a channel by a musician.
Yup, it's fake.

You can hear similar percussions to the one on this track on the Paris Before Concert Track from 2:57 up until 3:37

A nice surprise. It hasn't been verified, but it should be legit if it appeared on Apple Music.
Anyway: An interesting track. Not exactly hit material, but I like the flowing build up, the rhythm is strong when it gets going and the details are nice even if the track is quite minimalist. Also it seems to be part of a larger concept, judging but the abrupt ending.
I suppose we'll soon know if the piece is genuine.

Video removed by the user (EDIT: prompted by Youtube copyright takedown notice)

Hi everyone. I'm Franci98my on YouTube. The video with Chromatic's audio was removed by YouTube due to a Sony Music order because it infringed Jarre's copyright. The video was deleted by SME and then I was told to delete the record from my channel, so it appears deleted by me, the user.
Here's a screenshot with the email I received.

Thanks for clarification!
(it's an interesting thing though about those "copryight strikes", as there are numerous accounts who upload entire studio albums (like https://www.youtube.com/FanJarre/ for instance). I clearly don't understand Youtube's logic...)

Yes, it was on Apple Music. It is not official if it is a JM track, at the moment. I did mention in my other post that the video may get removed due to copyrights.

The same day of the publication of this song a friend downloaded it and sent it to me. The song is by Jarre, it was published in a kind of Apple Music Podcast, it was not commercially released. The track was published through iTunes Connect, a digital platform for artists, in which they can manage everything related to their music in iTunes. Many people confirmed that the track is by Jarre.

"Jean-Michel Jarre is probably returned to its recording studio working on a what might be a back-to-roots new album 2018, perhaps for the 40th anniversary of Equinoxe. "
