Mr. Jarre wrote a section of the concert, ''Last Rendez-Vous (Ron's Piece)'' to honor Mr. McNair, and it was one of the highlights of the evening.

''If Ron lived, he would have appreciated this so much,'' said Mr. McNair's brother-in-law, Dennis Moore, who attended.''This whole thing was such a spark in his life. This was an incredible event.''


What a lovely tribute. I haven't seen that quote anywhere else until now. Deserves to be more widely known.

yes it's touching and when I see this passage from the concert, the photos of the crew, of Ron McNair, on Last Rendez-Vous with the heartbeats, the sax etc... it gives chills.
It takes a tragedy for pure emotion to spring forth. This must touch even more when one is close to this person.
