Another brilliant set of scans - thank you!

I actually bought a copy of this while on family holiday in France in 1993 with my mum and dad. I was aged 18 and was so excited about Chronologie. It was the first Jarre album that came out while I was already a fan.

In 1988, aged 14, I had bought Revolutions, off the back of the hype surrounding Destination Docklands and while I played it a lot and loved it, I didn't really go out looking for his earlier stuff or anticipate his future works. Not sure why? Instead, I was into all sorts of different pop music.

Then in 1990 Waiting for Cousteau comes out. I saw it by chance in a record shop. Bought it. Loved Calypso 1, 2 and 3 and was totally confused by the title track! Disappointed but intrigued about such "weird" music that could be so utterly different to what was on the other side of the cassette. Yes, cassette!

And then.... in August 1990, ITV in the UK show Paris La Défense, A City in Concert. And that clinched it for me. I was totally mesmerised, hooked on JMJ and never looked back. I went out and bought all his previous albums, one by one, as my money allowed. I tried to read up as much as I could about him (remember, no internet!) to find out who he was and what he'd be doing next.

Images comes out in 1991 but while it had a few new tracks, it's not a new studio album. I had to wait until May 1993 for "my first" Jarre album to be released. I was 18, in love, about to leave home for the first time. What a year, what an album! Chronologie is still my favourite album, probably because of all these connections. In September 1993, I see Europe in Concert in Manchester. My first JMJ concert.

So, this magazine - all dedicated to JMJ and "my" JMJ album - is really significant to me.

Yeah, it's quite an important album for me too, I became a fan late 1990 so Chronologie was the first album I bought with the whole promotion circus surrounding it - singles, TV interviews and also this magazine. It's probably the most comprehensive magazine I've seen about any of JMJ's albums, really in-depth articles about every aspect of the album.
