The mix is slightly different, notably the drums/toms are softer in order to closely follow the unreleased studio version. Since only audience recordings have been in circulation THIS is the best version of this great mix available anywhere. It's an odd "replica cover" because there's no easy way to compare it to the original - you have to trust me it DOES SOUND LIKE THE REAL THING
This track took me 5+ years (on and off) of painstaking work to "complete" (those things are NEVER complete) and Stephane Gervais's input has been invaluable - otherwise I'd have no way of knowing that there were actual basslines in this track, not to mention other juicy little details otherwise not discernible in the audience recording. Liebana broadcast also helped a lot, as it's pretty much the same version (except it's yet another weird concert mix, with no bass, no guitar chords and with muted toms. And no dubstep intro!)
Finding/extracting Ethnicolor vocal samples were among the hardest parts. But I guess I could write a book about the entire process. At the moment the project consists of 200+ audio/MIDI tracks, which I'd say is a LOT for a 3½-minute piece that is not your run-of-the-mill ADHD-Future-Bass-Hyper-Pop-Something. Enjoy and don't forget to "SMASH that "Like" button"!
(Oh, also this is my first foray into video editing that is more complex than "add fades and subtitles")
