Hello!

Sorry if this is making a fuss over nothing, but has anybody else noticed the recent takedowns going around by SME of some HD concert remasters? So far I've seen them block a remaster of the China Concerts, Live in Monaco, and Concert for Tolerance on YouTube:



Is this normal for people who upload remasters? Or is this some kind of new action SME are taking against "remastered" content on the platform?

(P.S. I live in the UK and it says that the videos have been blocked in my country, I'm not sure if it affects other European countries too, but it's still a shame nonetheless...)

Looks like it's also blocked in the Netherlands, so at least it's not just a case of UK being excluded from the rest.

Edit: I think it's a problem only with Equinoxe 4 and 7 that blocks all the video.

I can only see your remaster of the China Concerts, I'm having the same issue with the Place de la Concorde remaster and resync from back in November:



I think it's an issue to do with tracks from Oxygene, Equinoxe, and Magnetic Fields. So far they've taken down a further 4 (excluding my own) videos:

- Place de la Concorde (Betamax Remaster)



- Europe in Concert (Barcelona Remaster)



- Oxygene in Moscow (Russian Broadcast Remaster)



- Santiago de Compostela (4K Remaster)



It's such a shame that Sony have started restricting these remasters over the past few days, I can only hope that this is the same issue that they had with the Samarkand livestream, and that all of the remasters get unrestricted soon.

Wow, same here. Only China and Paris 95.

I remember that something simulair happened with Some Stones video’s and not much later those shows got an official release.
Although I don’t think we get official dvd/blu ray releases of those old shows because Jarre has zero interest of releasing these shows.

When you upload videos to YouTube, in the YouTube Studio section you can see which part of the video has copyright issues, and whether the problem is with the video, the audio, or both.

In the case of the videos I uploaded (Jarre Bootlegs Concerts channel) that have been blocked, the issue is due to the presence of Equinoxe 4 or Equinoxe 7. There are no problems with the video itself or with any other songs, just Equinoxe album.

If I choose to mute Equinoxe or cut only those tracks, the videos can remain on the platform without any problem.

I can't see the harm; it's not like they are losing money as there are no official releases that are still worth mentioning.

On that subject, I once found some camcorder footage on YouTube of the docklands concert filmed from canning town rec, this has gone, does anybody know if it is still online anywhere. Cheers.
