Hi all,

You maybe know, or maybe not, but I am making an album since january, I had the occasion to work more on it since july.
I use mainly virtual synths and my Roland D50 as master keyboard.

I'll post you some snippets when I'll have finish a track ;)

For now, I would like to ask you some question :

- Which word come in your mind when I tell you the word "Paradox" ?
- Which picture fit with the word "Paradox" ?

Regards and stay tuned ;)

Yes, but I wanted it to be based on the Paradox.
I composed all tracks, I need to arrange them a bit (a lot for some of them).
I think it will be finished in more or less two weeks ;)

I know the word paradox, but I have never found out what it actually means, so I will just have a look and then see what I can come up with for some inspiration.

Hi,

I didn't know.
Would be good to ALREADY have the snippets to listen/comment on.

When you say paradox, the meaning of it comes to my mind, which is a result where the arguments don't add up or may add in to many diferent ways and none.

If you mean what would I expect a "Paradox" to sound like... er... I'd say... er... paradoxal? 8)

I'd certainly not expect anything usual though (EM, Berlin School, Pop electro like), but if so, listening the same-o, same-o, given the title, it would be a paradox with the title, wouldn't it? So it would make sense anyway.. :-D

The picture that fit's the word Paradox, in my opinion, is a white page totally covered in black and being invisible.... (just thought I'd leave you with a paradox of my own... though this one is simple, people call it "lack of light", and there's nothing paradoxal about it once you have full light so people believe it is white... and there... ).

Now, if asked to draw "paradox", I'd draw the yin/yang symbol random and aparently out of balance, but balanced when added up. There's no such thing as a paradox, it's concept alone is the only paradox that can exist... man, am I sounding paradoxal...

Kind Regards,
AMR

I just read the meaning of 'paradox'. the example was 'To live is to die'.
I did understand the meaning of paradox but all I get is somekind of silence or just a question because it's like the man who said he was wiser than all the other because he knew he didn't know anything. If you tell people this type of a paradox they will probably just look at you and think you are stupid.

Liek AMR says, you think more about the meaning of this.

I told you

By Paradox, I wanted to say (for example) :
Paradox of love : you love someone but the other one doesn't.
Paradox of life : your life is happy and you are not ill, but it is the opposite for someone other.

In fact I speak of something and it's opposite, the paradox so.

I'll try to answer Alvaro step by step :P but Synthesist, what you said is something I would like to say, "To live is to die" ;)
And your example of paradox is good too, I take note :P

I'm prepairing them :P

Rather difficult to understand but I think it is what I would like to say :D

Exactly ! In fact that's what I want to say in the music ;)

In fact, the paradox is not the title with the music, but rather the title itself which is explained with the music. "Paradox Of Love" for example is rather slow, with piano.
The music goes from techno-like sounds to very ambiant music with big pads. Nothing too usual but nothing unusual. The Paradox is the fact that different types of music are not usually taken in the same album, it is the case here.
The picture that fit's the word Paradox, in my opinion, is a white page totally covered in black and being invisible.... (just thought I'd leave you with a paradox of my own... though this one is simple, people call it "lack of light", and there's nothing paradoxal about it once you have full light so people believe it is white... and there... ).
I don't see a lot what do you mean :/ Is it a play of light ?
Now, if asked to draw "paradox", I'd draw the yin/yang symbol random and aparently out of balance, but balanced when added up. There's no such thing as a paradox, it's concept alone is the only paradox that can exist... man, am I sounding paradoxal...
 Very very good idea !! I'll think about it ;)

The word Paradox makes me feel instantly on the Catch 22, you think there is a soulution to the problem but the soulution is yet another problem.

Or the fact that If you don't work hard you will never get your goals so if you are lazy you will never reach your goals.

Or the silly thoguth that the most tasty food is the food that makes you sick like hamburgers and other junkfood.

Maybe it also makes me think that the worst upphill streets in a town is the best for you to walk up on, because it gives you a good exersize and you will feel so rewarded after finnish one.

So there you have a few things that pop up in my head!

The Old Sages used to say:

How can two things seemingly working in opposite directions
can infact be working together in unison.

Consider :

Two Palms moving in opposite directions
Yet coming together to meet
Producing a Non Paradoxical answer to an imagined Paradox.
