He stops to be a member, that doesn't surprise me at all, as he was already talking about it last year.
The official reason is that "Solidarity" supported PiS (the main party in Polish parliament, which I personally hate
), but there's no a mystery that it's not the only one.
The fact is that current trade union doesn't have much to do with the legendar "Solidarnosc". Another fact is that there're many controvercies connected with Walesa and other people of "old Solidarity".
The history is the best example that people don't divide just for black and white characters...
