I can decided, that this release is a real or a fake, unoffical. I miss the Dreyfus logon on the back cover:

Synthesis was only released on LP and casette (and has the Dreyfus logo on the record): http://www.jarre.ch/Synthesis/Synthesis_LP.htm Discogs So if you have a cd version ...
7 years and counting since a new album with new material. Even Michael Jackson did better than that. I therefore wonder if JMJ is going for a new record "The longest time an artist takes between studio albums?"
I hope Jarre is not after a new Guiness book of records entry, because:
I checked an online solar eclipse calculator for Mexico city: on 21 Aug 2017 there will be full eclipse!
If Jarre still has the energy and passion for this specia project, he should start to plan and seek funding right now.
How sure are you about Equinoxe 5? As I remember it was featured on the VHS, but recorded in a studio as some add-on to the video. Argh damn! I wished there were some more clear information about it. On the VHS you can see the silent comedy "Broken China" (1926) with Bobby Vernon being played ...
If it exists, it might be something like Interior Music in 2001: that was limited to 1000 copies, had no catalogue number, and was given for free to the invited guests at B&O.
Maybe at Concert d'Images it was the same, but even more limited?
I do not believe this. It's been 25 years and no-one has even mentioned this CD once. I know some of the people in the Jarre community are very secretive (the infamous Whitfield Street acetates seem to have some different versions/remixes of songs and some of the fans own these CDs for years), but ...
In 1989 there was an exposition(Concert d'images) in Paris about jarre with pictures and some instruments of Jarre. The background music on the exposition was this track that came a year later out as "En attendent Cousteau". The track is longer than the CD version. I don't think that this track ...
I was checking the French Wikipedia Wikipedia and saw this: " On obtient alors le morceau complet à savoir : Concert d'images présent sur le CD offert durant « Jarre expo » et qui servit d'ambiance sonore à cette même exposition. "
Translated: " One can optain the complete song on the givaway CD ...
I know of an early Equinoxe 5 version, don't remember an early Oxygene 4 version though... It exists.. somewhere.
"During the beginnings of Oxygene composition, af friend asked Jarre if he has a melody for him to praise the extension of Highway East (A4). Thus it provides a model of what would ...
It was available as a free download on Jarre's website in the 90ies. However it was a slightly different mix than the Palawan video (only 2 minutes I believe). On the non-official Rarities 3, the video edits are available: http://www.discogs.com/Jean-Michel-Jarre-Rarities-3/release/719114
That sounds like Oxygene (New Master Recording 2007) DVD, since that ofcourse has DTS. However the extra audio CD that came with with the limited edition is just stereo.
There do exist DTS cd's , however I never heard Oxygene was produced in this format. The only hits in Google are torrent files ...
What the fans want? Come on, we can't even agree on this forum about what we want. I think everyone here 100% agrees that what we want is the classic concerts released on DVD or Blue-Ray (not perse with better quality, but as 2 concerts on 1 disk). And then the full package (ie. all tracks), not ...
