What do you think about the Fiat Idea ?
My father's car is going to be broken and he want to buy an Idea

And it's not too expensive
It doesn't seem to be not quality compared to the Renault Modus...

Yes the better quality is always too expensive, I think it is possible to live with Renault, most cars have different weaknesses, don't let that spoil anything, I think you should just go get what you had in mind as a good choise for you.

My parents already have 2 Renault : a Laguna Break from 1998 and a Scenic from 1995
They are making strange sounds
That's why Renault....
It's not my choice, but my parents, we never try a Fiat but a friend of my father has a Punto and he has no problem
There is the Meriva too, but I hate it, the Yaris too, can be good but I'm too big for the car
I tried the Citröen C2, I love it, but it's not a family car

I can only talk from what I learnt from my brother who is an auto mechanic, he work with Volvos and sometimes Renault, he has also worked with Fiat. They have alot of problems with the Renault on his work.
He knows someone who had problems with the Punto, I don't know if that was a common Punto problem, but it was hard to repair.
I think it is just hard to make a car without any illnesses.

Sure, but a car from the secondhandmarket with 50 000 kilometers and in a mint state has no problems, I think, if the man who had the car before made 50 000 kilometers....

The likely thing wrong with your Scenic is a problem in the rear brakes, my friend had noises too.

And Fiat are good in some areas, like small cars. The Panda is just fantastic, but the Croma (the estate-station wagon thing) is awful.

Never buy Renault, but Peugeot are excellent and the ride quality in a Peugeot 406 / 407 is phenomenal.

I love the Ford Focus C-Max, maybe the next car after the Fiat Idea ?

In Sweden all the new Peugeot 307 were banned from the camping areas last summer due to the risk they could cause a fire. The problem was the electrical connections to the ABS and it had to be replaced new ones on warrenty.
But just take a look under the Peugeot and with a little electrical knowledge you will see that the wires are everywhere even under the engine.
It's not very strange the car can play "great balls of fire".

C-max is a great car, I've tested it. Just one thing; Make sure it has the ESP control system if you want to buy a used one, you will need it.
A friend and I tested an early version without ESP and it actually went up on two wheels for a second in a tight corner. I think that Ford has done something to the construction after that...not sure what it was.

Hehe, I just love all the 407's, they all look fantastic. Apart from that slightly 'Gerard Depardieu' beak on the front...
