That specific date is a very curious "coincidence" from one of JMJ's albums. ;)
March 23 will also be a big day for burglars in town.
- No one home ?

and all policemen and security are at the langley park to make sure this will be a save concert. :fine:

I don't know if it has any important aspect, but that attachment disappeared from ITM Productions.

I would say there has to be a good reason for that. :?

someone posted this on the official forum and I can partly agree...

"That document was removed from the promoters site 2-3 weeks ago now. Also JMJ was an international ambassador to the Perth Fashion Festival last week but was a no-show although he apparently wrote an original composition to support it. What all that means I don't know but with March 2013 (if that is the date) not far away now, it isn't looking too good IMHO.

Some points to consider:

1) Back in March of this year all the local government approvals were sought and approved. This includes things like insurances and liabilities as well as adherence to local enviornment by-laws and so on. I have seen Perth City Council minutes that show these approvals were all granted. In addition the State Government of Western Australia has very publically thrown its full support behind the event. All this happened six (6) months ago now so to have such a large time period between these events and a formal annoucement isn't encouraging. It was also reported back then that the remaining hurdle was corporate sponsorship which at the time I assumed wasn't a big issue given this town is drowning in mining industry money, we are a little like Houston in that regard ;)

2) It was also reported that Langley Park (the venue) would be locked down for a month or so to prepare the staging. Such a massive effort to accomplish this would no doubt reveal some lead-up activity but there has been none that I am aware of.

3) Finally the March 23rd date is pushing the seasonal envelope somewhat. While Perth is renowned for its great weather any time after this date becomes questionable given we enter our winter season and the increased frequency of what can be fairly vicious storms that hit us from the Southern Ocean. The longer they push the date out the more the risks increase particularly for a concert of this magnitude. The optimum period in Perth for anything like this is October to March, April is probably OK but any time after this is risky for such a large open air installation.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong but the longer an annoucement is pending the less likely it is to go ahead. In short JMJ's role of ambassador at the recent Perth International Fashion Festival would have been the perfect opportunity to confirm a date and formally introduce himself to the local audience given that all the local media was in attendance. The fact that it didn't happen leads me to believe the gig is nowhere near locked in."

It can happen that a concert confirmation comes 2 or 3 months prior to the concert, so I am not surprised it can be december/january before the final confirmation comes.

Dear Robert,

Thank you for your email.

I wish to state firstly the document that was removed from my website was to refine the document. It will go back up soon, please do not assume that there is anything wrong. We are working on much more important aspects of the event and it is coming together nicely.

The scheduled date is the 23rd March 2013. All of Australia and the world is very excited about the event, it is anticipated to be the largest outdoor spectacular in the history of events in Perth. Jean Michel Jarre with his creative genius will "rock" Perth.

I am unable to give any further information only to say that we are going through the process with the government and Perth City Council to ensure we meet all requirements to produce such a massive event.

Many thanks for you concern and I will keep you updated in the coming weeks.

I suspected it could have been a Nord Lead for the effects. This appears to be a very popular keyboard.

 Wow! You own a Eminent 310U and a Minipops 7 - I am jealous :o :)

I notice that you have modified some of your analogue equipment! That is truly a great achievement!!! I am fascinated by electronics and would love to be more knowledgeable in this subject. Then I could carry out my own repairs  You are a true Michel Geiss

The only authentic piece of equipment is my treasured Eminent Solina String ensemble. I notice that you converted your one with a MIDI-IN socket!!! Does this modification work well?

Hello Oliver,

I like your version very much - it's very close to the original. What did you use to create the effects? Was it a VST plugin or an actual synthesizer?

Nice to meet another Cubase lover
At this moment I use only hardware synth : effect comming from NL2, sweep and rate is live played on keyboard. The flange stereo effect come from electric mistress with moving button and delay...
In general, a lot of delay is used with midiverb, LC electronics and BOSS DD6
