I already heard the Rone song and loved it a lot, so those are great!
The PSB song is much darker than I though which is wonderful in my eyes. The darker the better!!! Does their most recent CD sound like this?? Now I'm curious...
The Julia Holter song is nice musically, but I'm not a fan of female vocals of any kind so this will take a while for me to get into. It's not bad though. I like the floating repeating melody
Primal Scream is a band I've never listened to but I had the immediate urge to skip this track. Super upbeat and bouncy which dislike greatly! HOLY SHIT I can't take it anymore this is the worst ever.
The Numan song is everything you'd want it to be, and it's hard to not imagine their bromance while this is playing
The Hans Zimmer track is gorgeous. I'm so happy that it has the typical HZ glittering noises in the background. This was one of my most anticipated songs to hear, and it's great!
The song "Exit" tends not to seem as obnoxious when you're listening on a real stereo system. The track seems much more fluid that way. And just as I typed this my downstairs neighbor sent a text saying "having a rave up there?"
The Peaches song is so bad it's good....that's all I can come up with.
I liked the Sebastien Tellier song until the worlds least favorite vocal effect took over. Generally speaking though it's a fun trippy psychedlic sounding track.
The song "switch on leon" kinda caught me off guard at first. I tend to think that some sound clips interfere with songs, and found the first half too "busy" with them. The song twists and turns a lot which is pretty cool and a little less common for a Jarre song in my opinion. This was another highly anticipated track for me, and sadly I don't care for it much.
I dont know what I was doing because I dont remember the Siriusmo at all. Oops!
I only recently started listening to Yello, but am mostly familiar with their early catalog. I was hoping their track would sound similar to that time period, but it's quite different. I like it, but it is strange in the context of the whole album.
I'm not familiar with Jeff Mills, but I really liked his song so I want to check out more of his stuff. Very dreamy a blippy - a weird combo.
I went into this wanting to love the Cyndi Lauper song for reasons unknown to me. It starts out rocky, and again female vox aren't my thing, but once that first chorus hits it all comes together and make sense.
The vocal effect on this Christophe song are stabbing my ears. It's so in the front! JESUS
Ah yes, finally just Jarre on his own. I like his tune, and dramatic arrangements and chip noises are kinda cool. yup, stoned.
And 'the origin' takes a surprising turn which was nice. It's kinda cool to see how the song developed.
I definitely love the album and can't wait to get through it on all the different levels that part 1 offered!
