But the point is: There is a part of that recording (from 2010) that contains what Jarre is now (in 2016) presenting as Oxygene part 19. So if it wasn't Jarre that composed that ambient intro back in 2010, then why is a part of it on Jarre's new Oxygene 3 album? But if it WAS Jarre, then we've got a 20 minutes ambient piece of work, that not many knows about :) And it's an amazing piece, Jarre or not Jarre! :)
If it was played at a JMJ concert back back in 2010, why would it not be JMJ? I don't think I really get it... :)

Yes, that's exactly it :) I have another recording (the whole thing) that last's about 20 minutes. But at the very end of the link that you just posted above, you can hear the Oxygene 19 piece that you also can hear at the youtube Oxygene 3 player. It's not THAT clear on your recording, but it's perfectly clear on my recording. Soooo, is Jarre the composer behind this ambient piece after all? :)

You're absolutely right! At the very end of that YT clip you can hear exactly the same thing as the Oxygene part 19 sample! :o

There was a big discussion about it back then, and somebody found out? that is wasn't Jarre but someone else. I even got an email to this person, and I asked if this cool track was to be released, but he said that it consisted of different little pieces that he had done for different commercials, so it couldn't be released due to copyrights, or something like that. I don't remember exactly. I was all a little bit strange, because it really sounded like something that Jarre could have done. And I really loved it, it was/is really something special and dreamy!! And I REALLY want a studio recording of it!! :D

This sounds pretty nice, Don't remember hearing this in Rotterdam despite being at least half an 45 minutes early or so.

So... if it was someone else's... And now a part of it is released as JMJ's Oxygene 19... That doesn't sound right

Also he did state that Oxygene 19 was composed ~2 years ago while working on Electronica, so that's pretty weird as well. Then again, foundations for "Suns have gone" and "Swipe to the right" were laid as early as 2010 as well, so he might have just used that particular sequence from 2010 for Oxygene 19 while most of the track was composed in 2014?

Could be, but if so, this means that this whole damn great ambient track was then composed... by... Jarre?

Well to be fair I do remember that during the In-Doors "World" Arena Tour sometimes 2009/2010 through instagram, twitter, facebook...(whatever) JMJ tried to announce that he was working on some new music.
He even showed smartphone snaps from inside the tour bus of him playing on some new Roland synthesizer between the gigs.
Maybe this Oxygene 3 is a final result of that? :)

For sure a couple of Electronica tracks are a result of his ~2010 work. Still a bit worried about "somebody found out? that is wasn't Jarre but someone else".

Or it was just hinted this is not Jarre.

While so was he.

Okay guys, here's what the email said, from the guy who ACTUALLY did this :) His name is Jean-Michel Derain.

"Thank you very much !! In fact it's a lot of different tracks (like i don't know 20 or 25 songs) that i have reedited to "compose" one big track built like a story.

In those tracks there is 3 or 4 pieces (used more like textures ) that are new Jean-Michel Jarre tracks.

It's not available for downloading for now because of copyrights !!

Again thank you for your comments !!!

regards

jm"

Sorry If I messed up your evening :P But I REALLY want a studio recording of the whole damn thing!! :D I guess we never will get one, because of those 3-4 Jarre bits in the recording! :P
