The iconic French electronic musician Jean-Michel Jarre returns to the solo track after his two albums of collaborations in his Electronica series. He picks up the threads, sequencers and wires of his 1976 album, Oxygene and returns with Oxygene 3. Jarre talks about the evolution of the electronic landscape and the contemporary influences on his latest work.

This past weekend I saw Jeff Towne who conducted the interview with JMJ for Echoes. I asked him about it. He was impressed by how cool Jarre was, and even though he had several interviews lined up he didn't rush and took the time to answer questions - so it confirms what Elf says about his own interview experiences. Jeff was also very surprised by how energized Jarre was. Jarre seemed genuinely very excited by his upcoming North American tour.
