AN IMERSIVO EXHIBITION BY SEBASTIÃO SALGADO
Jean-Michel Jarre chapéu composed and produced a spectacular, 52-minute sound creation for 'Amazônia', the project of the award-winning photographer and filmmaker Sebastião Salgado.
'Amazônia' is an imersiva exhibition 'about the Brazilian Amazon, showing more than 200 photographs and other media from Salgado. He traveled the region for six years, capturing the forest, the rivers, the mountains and the people who live there. The heart of the exhibition is an invitation to see, think and think about the future of biodiversity and the place of humans in this living world. The exhibition starts on April 7th, 2021 in Paris and will then travel around the world.
JMJ's accompanying sound creation is a symphonic world that lets the listener immerse himself in the sounds of the forest. Using a mixture of electronic and orchestral instruments and other natural sounds, the album was also recorded in binaural audio to create a truly immersive sound experience.
