Oh yes, it has influenced my musical taste. First, I was very much into pop music. I went from being a huge Pet Shop Boys fan to a huge JMJ fan and through the years I switched back and forth between these (so the 2016 track Brick England was a dream came true obviously). PSB are a big pop-band and their albums are usually packed with songs which you can typically consider "hits". So for me, albums were a compilation of great track. This is the case for most of the music I was listening at the time.
Jean-Michel Jarre's music changed the way I listen to albums as a whole. His albums are all bound to a specific "theme" or concept so there's a coherence between all the tracks. I didn't notice it at first, but the Pet Shop Boys album Actually is bound by a common theme: anti-Thatcherism. So that's what listening to JMJ taught me mainly.
My musical taste also went into more electronic and instrumental music thanks to him.
