sounded like it was virtually all playback of album tracks, so unless the visuals were great, I won't miss it.

Did like the new Oxygene 4 - what little I heard of it - and Industrial Revolution - a personal favourite - always goes down well.

Ironic that 'Falling Down' played just as the error message about the YouTube problem appeared.

I loved the uptempo version of Equinoxe 7 but JMJ's jumping around to Above & Beyond's version of Zero Gravity felt inappropriate in the Hall of Mirrors. It needed a more delicate set list. I felt the best track was Oxygene 19 in this venue.

And given the back catalogue to select from, why Falling Down?! A really odd choice.

Speaking as a die hard Jarre fan who manages his expectations...... I LOVED IT!

Good mix of tracks & happy it wasn't trancetastic. It was a great spectalce, way better than any other artist on the planet was providing.

A perfect way to round off Xmas day. Not saying it was perfect but I really enjoyed it.

Hoping some of you will feel the same. It's not easy being an innovator. Well done JMJ & all the team who made this possible

Visuals very much like WTTOS but with a few new AI images every so often. The dancing Herbalizer characters appeared for Stardust, I think. So a bit muddled.

I had a feeling he would be as a jack rabbit
As you say inappropriate setlist on the whole : his judgement is so poor I'm sorry to say.
More orchestral more pastoral of his works would suited better.

Exactly this! He has so many lovely delicate electronica tracks that could be sensitively refreshed for the occasion, such as Magnetic Fields 4, Equinoxe 2 and Chrono 2 and Chrono 7.

And instead of the rave/EDM visuals, something more expressive and interpretative of the venue.

His objective of showcasing innovation and high tech can still be achieved with this alternative approach, even more so I'd say.

Really wish other tracks had gotten revisited like Industrial Revolution Pt. 2 :\ Some other additional tidbits, like in the beginning of Oxygene 2 (in the "nature intro"), are nice tho'

(Though I wonder if the skip at 1:37-1:38 or thereabouts was due to the radio stream skipping or if it happened in the performance itself)

The track selection could have been more varied, but on the other hand it is heavy on the Best Of/Most Popular Hits side which makes sense for a special concert like this (even though The Architect, Oxygene 19 and Zero Gravity are more of JMJ's own favorites).

Still feels weird when "The Opening" is not played as the opening track (though it works as Movement 8 in the context of the rest of that album). :P

Lol, FLACs from a lousy 64kbps stream ;) Sending you direct stream rips. W9 was in stereo, sadly I only managed to ripped it from the middle of Oxygene 2

Yeah, my default file format is flac. It's also a tribute to the qobuz Welcome to the Other Side flacs they sold just after that concert.

Added Jote's W9 recording to my uploads. This one is much better than my recording and smaller in file size too.

I haven't seen any visuals yet (I was listening to RTL since W9 was glitching for me), but here's my overnight impression of the music.
Overall, it was a suprising or odd combination of the Electronica tour/Welcome to the Other Side and the Aero album. Added are some surprising tracks like the Lully arrangement and Oxygene 4 x Epica mashup. The biggest surprise for me was Falling Down, which I never expected to hear at a concert.

Curious to see if this is a prelude of next year's concerts.

At the Palace of Versailles, a historic show by Jean-Michel Jarre

In the exceptional setting of the Ice Gallery, the musician and composer gave a mesmerizing Christmas concert on Monday, where past and future intertwined, in front of 800 conquered spectators.
