Yeah, absolutely. Crazy to think about that.

Oh, the Versailles 400 video on youtube has an audio glitch at 2:06.

He's still working on the Bratislava concert, no news yet. Interesting insights into the process, he explains everything has changed for creating a concert since COVID. He's having a meeting in Barcelona this Sunday, hopefully some news next week.

The lyrics of the opening track of Versailles 400 are an imaginary language, there's no proper meaning (I also posted that question).
Barcelona?

Official Press Release
JEAN-MICHEL JARRE RELEASES 'VERSAILLES 400' A LIVE DIGITAL ALBUM & MIXED-REALITY CONCERT FILM
RECORDED AT THE CHÂTEAU DE VERSAILLES ON DECEMBER 25, 2023 BOTH LIVE AND IN VIRTUAL REALITY
Jean-Michel Jarre has released today, February 23 Versailles 400, a spectacular mixed-reality concert-film and live digital album. Versailles 400 is much more than just a concert. Here Jarre explores new territories, including visual expression and where AI becomes an artistic partner. The result is a multisensory experience that transports the audience into a completely new universe.
The setlist was developed based on the concert-event presented by Jean-Michel Jarre at one of France's most culturally renowned historic sites, the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles on December 25, 2023. At the event, Jarre transitioned through his avatar from the real stage to an imaginary virtual gallery, specially reconstructed for the occasion, featuring the sets and creatures crafted by the musician using artificial intelligence.
"I designed the visuals for the Versailles 400 concert using artificial intelligence to create a graphic universe that merges the visual context of the 17th century with a world of robots, kinetic structures, Op art, sets, and creatures inspired by imaginary futuristic fairy tales, endlessly reflecting in the virtual mirrors of the Hall of Mirrors." - Jean-Michel Jarre
The result is captured in a live digital album, featuring an electro version of JB Lully's (1632-1687) Marche pour la cérémonie des Turcs, the new single “Epica Oxygene,” and fresh renditions of existing tracks.
The “director's cut” version of the film, produced with special attention to highlight the juxtaposition of the universes, the dual scenography and the graphic creations used in both worlds, available simultaneously on 6play in France and on YouTube worldwide. A 4k version for large screens is currently in production.
A hybrid and immersive show, where the audience is carried from one world to another, while remaining connected to reality, is a concrete example of how artificial intelligence can enrich the artistic experience.
Versailles 400 Tracklist:
Le Château (from JB Lully - unreleased)
Epica Oxygene (recently released)
The Opening
Oxygene 2
Equinoxe 4
Equinoxe 7
Industrial Revolution Part 2
Chronologie 6
The Architect
Oxygene 19
Zero Gravity
Falling Down
Stardust

I like the Versailles 400 Live release and although I really liked the "sun god 🌞 wearing VR goggles" original artwork, that was fun (I even bought the t-shirt!) I do like the new AI generated artwork too. The sun god image reminds me of the Europe In Concert Swatch watch artwork.

My only gripe with the latest release is the use of Chronology and not Chronologie. That REALLY annoys me. There's no way JMJ would allow Oxygen or Equinox, the English spellings, so why Chronology? And also, no "Part 6" at the end. It's a fabulous album and a great track so it deserves to be titled properly, in my opinion.

In my eyes and ears, Chronologie is the canon 1993 release and Chronology is the botched and badly remastered re-release :-D

I would just like to ask if by chance there are also fade in/out for the purchased version of the digital album (not in streaming therefore)?
Likewise if the Director's Cut of the video is without fade in/out?

Otherwise for me it seems easier to edit metadata of a downloaded file to make it "frenchy", than to remove these damn fade ins and outs

Digital album has fadeouts
Director's cut doesn't

Dr_Jones wrote: Fri Feb 23, 2024 6:48 pm He isn't happy with the fades on the digital release. He had to cut Amazonia too in 9 parts because Spotify wouldn't accept it. A live album gives more problems. It really annoys him, it seems... He sounds grumpy talking about it.

No involvement with the Olympics, sadly.

On touring: he toyed with the idea of an Oxymore tour, but concert halls are not designed for 360 sound. He is now exploring A.I. and he's thinking about what a concert would look like in 2024/2025, probably with A.I. involvement. He won't do a world tour in a while, it's not where his mind is at the moment.

Finally: he understands fandom pretty well :-D Fandom is a mixture of hope, dreams, disappointment. He understands he can't satisfy everyone and he has decided to draw his own plan a long time ago.

Good talk, JMJ was very open. Also a good host doing the talk.
He didn't do Oxymore tour, but not because of lack of 360 sound possibilities, but because the theme of the tour would not have generated much interest. And how a tour being alone on stage?

So then AI would be the partner on stage in 24/25?? Why the f..k to involve AI on stage? My God, it's sick now....
Anyway, he is not thinking on world tour....we have seen he changed his mind in some days with 180° turn. :)

Anyway, thank you Jones for writing us a summary!

Blegh, I'm so confused why this has to be this way these days, Oxymore with those fades as well for some bizarre reason. Oh well, will just rip the YouTube audio...
27-11-10: Ahoy Rotterdam
22-11-16: Heineken Music Hall Amsterdam
01-07-25: Palais royal de Bruxelles/Paleizen Plein Brussel

Keep in mind that the youtube audio has a dropout at 2:06 ;-) But somehow it's comforting that JMJ isn't happy with the fades himself too.

I thought there would be a making-of video this Sunday? I haven't seen anything.
