Just got a notification in the mail today:

Front cover has Gary Numan, featuring interviews with Jeff Wayne, but also Jean-Michel Jarre. I don't know how much coverage he will have, but I thought it was worth noting.

Now that's what I call a punchline :
"It will be like nothing else you have ever heard before, and like nothing else you will ever hear again."

A wonderfully succinct description of Zoolook. 40 years after it's release, there's STILL nothing quite like it.

Honestly, the only thing so far that has immediately reminded me of Zoolook(ologie) pretty much immediately has been

;)

Brilliant cover art.

I always felt Rendezvous album art or similar from Michel Granger should been on Zoolook.

Fun track standard for its time no where near as inventive as anything on Zoolook.

There's no album I've heard nor any Electronic music I've heard since 1930s to now that's as inventive as Zoolook.
Also the styles Classical, Jazz, Funk, Rock, Ambient, Dance, Avant Garde in Zoolook.

This is a great article in praise of Zoolook, but isn't the opening paragraph wrong? Oxygene is a purely synthetic album using a limited number of electronic instruments. It does not apply Schaeffer's concept of recorded sound as raw material. Other JMJ works do this, but not Oxygene.
