So, a bluray, a 2CD set and a collector's edition (which has 4 discs apparently?)

(I guess I'll move these posts to a future Album topic for this release)

he's releasing something he isn't 100% happy about? Brave to admit this. The TV broadcast looked fine imho. Maybe it's the Jean-Paul Jarre moment?

Those 4 discs are hopefully 2xCD + BR + ?

BTW would be fun if this was on BR in "extras", but I'm not getting my hopes up

I think the quality is all absolutely fine and JMJ knows it too. He's just getting in first because he knows how perfectionist the audiophile people on this forum are! :D :D :D

A 4 LP's version, maybe?

Every Jarre's recording since Electronica had it's vinyl version...

4 LPs sounds plausible, also looking at the price.

I'd really like a short "making of" or a behind the scenes bonus film as part of the package. I think there's lots to reveal about how this show all came about. The Docklands mini-film and the first part of the official Houston film are the only times this we have seen this sort of film. We need much more of this how it happened type footage.

I also think the main concert film needs a re-edit. The live edit produced for the livestream and TV was pretty good, but there were a few missed opportunities, such as using the drone shot when the low-level fireworks really kicked in during the finale of Stardust. A stage level camera shot, or a shot from the crowd perspective, would connect with the viewer much better, and give a sense of what it was really like to be there. Which was intense and mesmerising.

Don't forget the 2004 China DVD which has "In The Footsteps of the Last Emperor". Even had audio commentary, which was fun.
The 12 Dreams making of and the 2008 Tour documentaries were sadly not officially released.

I had forgotten about the 2004 China film. I liked the bit where JMJ complains about the trees getting in the way of the view and the next day, the trees had bascially been chopped back to nothing :o

I recall not long after the Bratislava concert, the JMJ website was inviting fans to upload images of themselves at the concert. I wonder if a selection of these images will make their way into the release somehow? Perhaps on the sleeve artwork?
