No, according to the sound engineer David Manley; LP distort the analog signal along you approach the center of the disc : you loose high frequencies from the beginning to end of LP.It's about sampling, my dear. LP has the 'whole' signal, whereas CD's are resampled, and thus lack very little of the signal...
