It in fact does. It will spread the reflection of the wall just like a piece of Auralex would, just less accurately. Just stop being a smartass jerk.

@ GJ: The working is because of the materials. The Auralex you're referring to is made of foam (absorbers, the shape is only to give the foam some more surface) or a hard, reflecting material (diffusors). Eggboxes are just too weak to change anything in sound.
