EMI Marketing UK have contacted JARRE UK today, to inform Fans, that the UK Release Date of Jean Michel Jarre's forthcoming
'OXYGENE', a NEW 30th Anniversary CD & DVD Box Set, featuring a NEW Master Recording from the Original 'OXYGENE' Score, and an Exclusive 'LIVE' performance of 'OXYGENE', filmed in both 2D & 3D High-Definition, originally scheduled for Monday 26th November 2007, has unfortunately been delayed, and will now be released on Monday 3rd December 2007.

EMI Marketing UK have confirmed to JARRE UK today, that France will be the first to release on November 26th 2007, Belgium, Italy & South Africa will release on November 30th 2007, the rest of the world will release on December 3rd 2007, NTSC Regions (which includes USA) will release on December 4th 2007 & Eastern Europe will release on December 10th 2007.

I know a lot of people want it on November 26th... but come on, if you order it from a French music store or get Nico to buy it, you're most likely gonna have to wait for a week for them to actually get there before the actual European release date

Last time i ordered an item from Amazon UK, I got it a few days after, perhaps Amazon FR has a just as good service.

South Africa, that's wierd, what do they have to do with Jarre or know about Jarre?

And how about that, Eastern Europe will have it last, most probably because of pirating, although in reality they'll probably have it first if you look at it that way.

I ordered Oxygene 3D from FNAC. Another first.

2D version is much, much better for me.

3D version not include:

-New original master in 5.1 surround sound & PCM stereo with animated visual.

That makes no sense...must be a listing error. Why would one CD be 5.1 and PCM and the other not...they must both be the same--it's cheaper that way!

The CDs of 2D and 3D versions are identical. The 5.1 mix of the new master recording can be found on the DVD of the 2D version.

Instead of adding the 3D version as a seperate DVD, they obviously decided to replace the 2D DVD with a specially produced 3D DVD. As there's more video on it (the live performance twice), I can only conclude that there wasn't enough space left for the master recording in 5.1... which, if this is no mistike , is a pity, because I would love to have the 3D performance AND the 5.1 studio master in one set (and wouldn't mind missing out on the 2D version of the preformace instead),

Thanks for the info... but isn't the CD already in 5.1 And the DVD isn't an Audio DVD it's just a regular DVD so either way you'll still get a 5.1 recording... or am I missing something here.

OFFTOPIC: They just released Beowulf Directed by Robert Zemeckis (Polar Express, Back To The Future, Forrest Gump...) on IMAX 3-D in theaters. Going tomorrow night! And AVATAR by James Cameron is going to be 3-D as well as several other... 3D strangely enough is the future... I think...
