I haven't heard about him before today, and after having read about the public uproar, I'm not sure I wanna know more about him. :punch:

You should give the boy a chance and opportunity to proof himself. :punch: After all, if JMJ can do it so can you. :p:

Much thanks to Amazon U.K for not getting my dvd to me this morning. Still waiting for the 3D version I orded off them weeks ago. So much for their pre-order scheme.

I did pick up the 2D version from HMV this morning, and waiting for my tea to be finished so I can sit back and enjoy

Got both the DVD package and the CD+DVD version today.....Just finished watching the DVD

All I can say is Jarre is a Legend!!!!

Overall this is amazing and can't wait to see this performed Live in the flesh,Wasn't too impressed with the 3D version, but could just be that my TV and DVD system are not up to the full specs of how it should be viewed, but will get to see it in the Required setup at the weekend,so will make more of a judgement based on that

The Remastered CD???

If I'm totally Honest, this new Mix has totally killed the original feel with this remastered Album, apart from a few additional VCS EFX here and there,if that is rerecorded from the Original score them I'm a dutchman...Its pretty clear he just remastered the original Mixes, apart from a few Noises here and there and the lack of phasered MP7 on part 4,its identical, there is a little more modulation of FX in certain places And certainly a dramatic EQ change of certain sections of the tracks fro mthe orginal, and a larger reverberation overall, but it sounds just like the original tracks with a little more clarity not a rerecording,it sounds so much wider than the original mix,but in some ways sort of ruins the Emotion, the Mix is far too wet, many of the instruments are more present in the mix that needed more attention to pick them out in the original.Ok as a 30 years later version, but not convincingly well mixed to stay true to the original Oxygene concept there's fluctuations in the Eminent string volumes on Part 2,and having the Album at higher volumes, seems to Induce "Noise",which would suggest its more than likely taken from the original mixes rather than cleanly rerecorded.I've only briefly listened to the CD but will give it more attention later.its just merely my first impressions.

I prefer the Original Album version, but the DVD .....Awesome :fine: :fine: :fine:Finally we get to see Jarre actually Play live, none of this poncing around miming....

And Oxygene 5 and the Variation.....Mega,this version is superb..

Well, nothing really important there, he only says that there won't be a lot of videos during the concerts, and ONLY Oxygène will be played.
JMJ also said that his mother said, when Oxygène was released "it'll never work, why did you give this album the name of a gaz and why did you use as artwork a skull and the planet" :D
